Bio:
Seamus Roddy played at inside forward for the successful Dundalk ‘C’ team in the 1948-49 season, winning the Leinster Junior Shield and in the following year losing only four games in a 30-match programme in the Leinster Senior League Division 2.
His first team debut was a winning one—against Shamrock Rovers in a Shield match in September 1949—and he made 4 starts during the season. He got an extended run at the beginning of the FAI Cup-winning 1951-52 year but his first team career ended with the promotion of Paddy Mullen from the reserves in February just before the first round tie against St Patrick’s Athletic.
