Bio:

Brought to Dundalk by John Hewitt, left sided defender Stephen Raynes was one of the few Scots amongst Hewitt’s signings to make it to season end—a season end that saw Dundalk fighting for its Premier ticket and escaping thanks to the goal scoring heroics of Jeff McNamara in the play-off against Waterford.

From junior club Hutsheson Vale, Raynes had spent four seasons on the books of Hibernians without making the first team. After his single Dundalk season he returned to Scotland and over the next five years clocked up 147 appearances in the Scottish Leagues playing with Livingston (1997/98), Forfar (1998/99), Brechin (1999/0) and Cowdenbeath (2001/02).

Dundalk Stats : 1996-97 19 appearances of which League 15, FAI Cup 2 and North West Cup 2.
